    In the last few years, I’ve been using the Calkins’ Units of Study and have really seen a great difference in my first graders’ writing. My colleagues and I have been thinking about using Persuasive Writing and this new book is a great tool for teaching this unit. The small size makes it really convenient to keep close-at-hand.
