This has been one of our favorite books for homeschooling this year. It’s right on target for the Kindergarten SOLs, the illustrations are fun, and we are breezing through it without tears.

I think this book is a little too easy for the listed ages 5-6 or Kindergarten children. I like the various activities and the pictures are inviting. No stickers.

I was using the Everything for early education PreK book before this. My daughter has outgrown that one so I bought this to help her with the next level and I’m honestly not very impressed with the book. A big drawback for me is all the color. I like to be able to make copies of the handwriting pages and print them out. Kids are going to need to practice writing their letters and numbers more than one time to master the skill. I can’t do that with this book because it is in color. Browsing through it I also saw several pages we will have to skip because the instructions or layout of all the colorful pictures will be confusing. Its not a bad book but not really what I need or want. I do like the kindergarten scholar section in the back to prep them for 1st. We will probably use that more. I also think its a waste of pages to include the answers. Kindergarten age children will most likley be doing this with an adult and adults shouldn’t need an answer key to these activities.

The book is colorful and full of different exercises for kids to practice counting, writing, sorting, analytical skills….my daughter, who just turned five and has attended two years of Pre-K loves the book and will spend 30 minutes completing different exercises.

my son loved this workbook! it is a great teaching tool, where the child has fun while being intoduced to the basics he/she will learn in Kindergarten. Easy to follow directions and fun pictures make it a favorite “activity/coloring book” for any child entering kindergarten whether he has a desire to learn or not. I highly recommend this book to all parents.
