I teach at both the Bachelor and Master level at a local private University and this is the book I use with my students. It's compact, not too pricey, and logically explains the basic tenets of APA. My students find it easy to use and I believe that it really helps their writing without being overwhelming. Plus, it's small and easily portable. Great book!

I was annoyed that this came in a package with other books I ordered for classes because my computer will give me templates for each documentation style and insert the sources for me, but I just realized three semesters later that the APA template the computer gives me doesn't ask for volume and issue. It hadn't been a problem up until now for some reason, but I use this thing religiously because the automatic formatting the computer uses actually doesn't comform to APA standards, even though it says it does. I was getting A's anyway, but I'm sure I'll get higher A's now that I use this book to make sure I format my papers perfectly.

This manual was ordered for a class and then the class was cancelled due to the lack of enrollment. So I e-mail the seller, again and again for 15 or16 days, with no response. I contact Amazon and they try and contact her with no response. They tell me that they would refund the money back to me because they could not get in touch with her. Eventually she did e-mail with this comment below, this is the actual e-mail:

As I have told Amazon, my internet service has been down for a while now due to a storm that struck my town. I also work 12 hours a day to keep afloat in the plumitting economy. I was not able to get back to your emails and I apologize for that. As far as my return policy goes, I have a 10 day return policy. It has now been 14 days, and I cannot issue a return.

My apologies

Someone, please tell me why I should be faulted for her WHOLE town being without internet service. The book was $15 and Amazon told her to get in touch with me and she did by this e-mail:

you may return the book to

56 carol lane
Malvern, PA 19355

thanks
Short and brief and of course an attitude! So look out for this one she didn't respond to Amazon and she probably won't respond to you!
